Song information
Entered a 1 hour song challenge last October at an iPad music forum I frequent. Goal was to write/record a song from start to finish in 1 hour. Time ran out before I could come up with a solo/melody, so I just have a groove going here. Thought I’d post it here for anyone here who would like to have it to use and make a real song out of it. Use it how you choose.

This is a bluesy kind beat that repeats over and over. Kind of imitated a style I heard that had an interesting ‘what meter is it?’ feel like this. Made a beathawk & jazz drummer pattern, and played a pianoteq piano chords over it. recorded in AUM.

This has an African township feel to it. It is 4/4 but the emphasised beats change during the progression and make it seem like an odd time signature.

Yes @zincshed, I was going for that kind of feel.  It could expressed in 4/4. When I got into the groove though I started thinking and feeling it in 3 bar phrases: two 9/8 bars + a 3/4 bar, repeating over and over. So many possibilities with world beats. So fun playing over them.

I'm a fan of off kilter rhythms; keeps ya on your toes. I like the minor/major chord too. A lovely listen!
