Monte-Carlo After Midnight (Disco Club Edition)

A glamorous disco-club track inspired by the nightlife atmosphere of the Riviera. Blending the spirit of classic 70s disco with a modern club groove, the song features lush orchestral strings, funky rhythm guitar, shimmering Rhodes and warm analog textures over a deep rolling bassline (123 BPM).

Originally conceived about a year ago, the track gradually evolved over the months as the arrangement and atmosphere were refined step by step.

The result is a polished late-night groove with smooth male lead vocals and layered female backing harmonies, capturing the seductive mood of Monte-Carlo after midnight — neon lights, velvet streets and Riviera glamour.

Style: Disco / Nu-Disco / Club
Tempo: ≈123 BPM

Lyrics
[Verse]
Velvet streets and diamond air,
I feel your shadow everywhere.
The night opens like a door,
and you fall into its core.

[Pre-Chorus]
Silver echoes in the breeze,
whispers running through the trees.
Your silhouette in fading gold,
a story waiting to unfold.

[Chorus]
Monte-Carlo after midnight,
hearts on fire in neon light.
Monte-Carlo after midnight,
you and me… burning bright.

[Bridge – whispered]
Touch the night… take my hand…
Riviera dreams we understand…

[Chorus – extended]
Monte-Carlo after midnight,
lost in rhythm, lost in light.
Monte-Carlo after midnight,
you and me… burning bright.

Thanks a lot, really appreciate that. I totally get what you mean. Back then disco was almost the “enemy” depending on your musical background. Some tracks were definitely a bit cheesy… but others were truly top-level. At that time I was deeply immersed in rock, blues rock and early heavy sounds, from around 1966 to 1973 — Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Canned Heat, Chicago Transit Authority and also The Animals — so a completely different universe. So when disco arrived later, it felt very different at first. And then I discovered Barry White… and that completely changed my perspective — his orchestrated music and deep baritone voice made me feel like I was floating in the air. That was a real impulse for me, of course followed by many other great artists. Funny how things evolve over time… now I really enjoy revisiting that era and reinterpreting it in my own way with a more modern production approach. At the moment, I’m also doing a lot of research on classical music and exploring ways to translate it into a modern sound — it takes time, but it’s truly fascinating. Glad you liked the track 🙏
