my process this time was to loop the chords on piano, with the chord names labeled on the screen - scrolling by as they went. i recorded the guitar in one pass, doing something like 20 repeats. edited afterwards to mix them into something.

it was so refreshing to NOT have to keep the chords in mind while improvising. there they were on the computer screen the whole time. i felt so free.

the downside is the computer was running and adding noise to the recording...
